FUNDRAISER / PARTNERSHIP OFFICER

Gauteng Opera is looking for a full time fundraiser. Candidates must have had experience in fundraising and a clear understanding of the corporate world. Any tertiary education in this field will be to the candidate’s advantage.
The successful candidates will be required to:
- Maintain and develop existing relationships with funders through applications, reporting and on-going communication, while ensuring the proper implementation of grant requirements.
- Also responsible for on-going research into new funding sources and for securing new funders for Gauteng Opera locally, nationally and internationally with the CEO and COO. Emphasis is placed on developing mutually beneficial relationships between Gauteng Opera and its funders.
- Work in conjunction with our publicists in marketing the company.
- Also assist in bulk sales / corporate sales of Gauteng Opera productions to existing and potential partners and corporate companies.
- Manage advertising opportunities in other theatre program, press and at venues.
- Manage press development;
- Co-ordinate the invitation of potential future promoters and supporters of the company.
- To assist in general office work if needed.
The successful candidate will have to be able to:
- Apart from normal working hours - five days a week, must be willing to work over weekends and evenings during performances when needed.
- Have own transport.
